À la carte dinner
Marés is open for dinner every night, Saturdays and Sundays included, at Comte Borrell, 208, on the corner of Mallorca. It is inside the Hotel Zenit Borrell, but you don't need to be staying there: book a table, order a few starters to share and follow with a rice dish, meat or fish.
The evening menu
In the evening there is no set menu: you order from the à la carte menu. Most people start with something to share, such as Galician-style octopus, Andalusian-style fried squid or the creamy Ibérico ham and cocido croquettes, then have a main each. For meat, there is beef sirloin with foie gras in a port reduction or beef entrecôte with vegetable gratin; for fish, salmon loin in asparagus cream, gratinated monkfish tail with pineapple aioli or the catch of the day.

If you live nearby or finish work late, have some Patatas Marés and croquettes with a small beer, or a single dish from the menu, without ordering a full set meal.
There are chargrilled vegetables with romesco sauce, seasonal vegetable paella, creamy mushroom risotto and hummus with seasonal crudités, plus salads such as the burrata or the goat's cheese.
There is a children's menu with a beef burger or chicken escalope, and for dessert they can have an ice-cream sundae or the chocolate coulant.
The menu is available in several languages, so everyone can choose their own dishes without anyone having to translate.
For ten or more there are celebration menus with drinks included and a private room. For birthdays or work dinners, call our events team before you fix the date.
For two or with friends
The dining room has a wooden ceiling, paper lamps and large windows onto the inner courtyard, which lights up among the trees as night falls. There are tables for two with a table lamp, and room for a group of friends who want to order several starters and a rice dish to share. If you'd like to eat on the terrace, ask when you book and we'll tell you whether there's a table outside that night.

No, dinner is à la carte. The set lunch menu is only served at midday, and for groups of ten or more we have celebration menus that are booked separately.
Ask when you book and we'll tell you whether you can eat outside that night. If not, we'll keep you a table in the dining room, which has windows onto the courtyard.
